A great evening spent with some amazing students from University of Massachussetts.
I had this unique opportunity thanks to the University Professor Elena Monami, from Siena University ,who follows every year this project.
The students are led in a cultural project that includes several activities, cooking is one of them and I have to say that the all of them have been very involved in preparing everything! We prepared differents recipes like ragù, ravioli, tagliatelle, different kind of “bruschette” and two big tray of Tiramisù! We formed two teams “the red” and “the heart” and at the end it was very arduous to judge the winner….in fact the winner was the wonderful night spent together. The charming moment was when we were all sit at the table and they taught me the “Pit and Pick” game…everyone should go around and tell the bad and the best moment of his day . For sure my pick was having meet them at my house. For me cooking is an expression of the land where you are and the culture of that place.
The moment shared at the table, preparing, eating and drinking, are things that doesn’t feed just the body but also the soul.
